Mrs. Linda Ahrens
Mrs. Linda Ahrens was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. She attended Lutheran schools until she reached high school. Linda continued her education at Concordia University where she graduated with her BS in Education and an endorsement in Early Childhood Education. From there she started a preschool at a private school in Lincoln, until moving to Hastings to accept her first call to Zion Lutheran to teach 4th grade for a year. The following year she was moved to the preschool to be their director and sole teacher, growing the program to 75 students in the various classes. After 13 years of service at Zion, Linda and her husband moved their family back to Lincoln and she accepted a call in 2004, to teach at Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Lincoln where she first taught PreK, followed by Kindergarten through eighth grade in a one-room schoolhouse setting, where Linda also served as principal/headteacher until 2017. From there she moved to Missouri with her husband who was relocating and taught in first grade at a public/private school. She is looking forward to returning to Lutheran education at Trinity.
Mrs. Ahrens has three daughters, Kelsey, and son-in-law Derek, Lesley and future son-in-law Denison, and Haley. In their family, they also are grandparents to Harrison and have a 4-year-old Black Lab named Rosco who just loves attention and walks.
Linda absolutely loves teaching and seeing children grow in their learning and knowledge of the Lord and the world we live in. It has always been her passion and desire to have her students become life-long Christian learners who want to serve and assist not only their families but also their communities.
Mrs. Ahrens’ has many favorite Bible verses, one of them is Romans 12:2, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
