1. Do I have to be Lutheran in order to attend Trinity Lutheran School?

No. Trinity Lutheran School welcomes all students. Trinity teaches that the Bible is God’s own Word and truth, without error and that all humans are sinful and in need of a Savior. 


2. Do students at Trinity wear uniforms?

No, Our dress code states the following: Our clothing and manner of dress can be a powerful witness, both positively and negatively. Therefore, school dress should be conservative in nature and respectful to our Lord, the school and the community. Students should appear modest, neat, and clean at all times. Clothing and manner of dress should not be distracting or disruptive to the learning process. (For more information consult the school handbook.)


3. What is Trinity’s approach to discipline?

The Trinity faculty has adopted the Love and Logic model for classroom discipline. The teachers have spent time training with this approach and each has tailored it to work in his/her classroom. Love and Logic stresses that students own the problem when they misbehave and will be responsible for righting the wrong.


4. Does Trinity offer a hot lunch program?

Yes, Trinity cooks all of our food on-site and boasts that many of our meals are just liked home-cooked meals. In addition, we participate in the Federal Hot Lunch program and offer free and reduced lunches in accordance with government guidelines.


5. How much does it cost to attend Trinity?

The registration fee is $100 per student for all students registering before May 1st.  After May 1st, the registration fee is $150 for returning students.  This fee is credited toward your tuition.

Tuition rates for the 2019-2020 school year are divided into two categories.

For families of an LCMS* congregation in Grand Island:

            1st student in the family- $3725

            2nd student in the family- $2470

            3rd student in the family - $1840

            4th student in the family - $1250

For families of other congregations:

            1st student in the family - $3725

            2nd student in the family - $2470

            3rd student in the family - $1840


Plus a $41 handling fee for all who use FACTS Tuition Management.

* If a family qualifies for either free or reduced lunch pricing, they would qualify for free or reduced tuition.


Tuition assistance funds are available and are distributed on a needs-based assessment. A child will not be denied a Christian education because funds are not available.


6. Are there any additional fees?

Hot lunch costs $2.40/lunch, and break milk is available at $.35.

Students in grades 5-8 pay a yearly activity fee of $25 and a $50 technology fee

7. What time does school start?

The school day begins at 8:05 A.M. and is dismissed at 3:20 P.M.. Any students arriving before 7:50 A.M. are to go to the gym and wait with their classes at the assigned locations. Students arriving after 7:50 go directly to their classrooms.


8. Does Trinity provide before and after school care?
